Aakash Nand

Hello! I’m Aakash, a Senior Data Engineer based in Tokyo, currently working at Kraken Technologies. My career spans roles at NTT Communications and Slalom Build, where I contributed to diverse data projects, including data migration, anomaly detection, data visualization, Data Warehouse design, and building ML models with MLOps and ETL processes.

With a background in Computer Science, I started my career in India before moving to Japan, where I’ve been working for nearly a decade. My work involves designing and implementing robust data pipelines, creating scalable data models, deploying machine learning models to production, and architecting large-scale data systems. My passion lies in solving complex data challenges and driving impactful insights.

I’ve also been learning Japanese for many years and can speak the language, greatly enriching my experience living and working in Japan.

Beyond work, you’ll often find me watching movies, working on side projects, or helping others learn more about Japan. I love exploring Japan’s rich culture and breathtaking landscapes, often discovering hidden gems on scenic drives.
